Broadly speaking, there are two schools of thought or two points of view which we can use to divide the masses in. One side is vigilant, almost fanatical even, about their dental care, by ensuring that they are brushing every 12 hours (or alternatively, brushing before and after their meals in the morning and night), flossing and being regular with their dental appointments. Some even go as far as to brush their teeth after every meal which, by the way, is not advisable since you might incur abrasions on your teeth. On the other hand, there are people who consider brushing their teeth once a day (during their morning routine, of course) the sum total of their dental care regime.
But what a lot of people don’t know, or realize, is just how vital dental care is to the overall health of a human being, and how improper dental care can lead to so many life-threatening and/or lifestyle diseases. Theimportance of dental health has not been stressed upon till now, but it’s time we start paying serious attention to it.
What Poor Dental Health Could Lead To
Different dental problems can lead to several other diseases. Following are some of the examples:
- Chronic gum disease contribute to the high statistics of having a heart attack.
- Serious gum diseases which, due to their contribution to the progression of diabetes, can cause serious health challenges.
- Any harmful bacteria in the oral cavity can lead to respiratory problems or diseases, such as bronchitis, pneumonia or more.
However, the catch here is that in addition to having all the requisite knowledge about theimportance of dental health, one also needs access to good dentists and dental clinics as well. After all, knowledge is power but the opposite of this is also true - applied knowledge is power too. It is getting increasingly difficult, for example, to find a dentist who can offer all types of treatments while still taking care of the patient's pockets.
Fortunately for all Delhiites, there is now a ‘safe haven’ for all dentistry and cosmetic dentistry related problems. Dentists in Delhi have confidently made their mark in this field and brought their experience and expertise to the city. They carry out all kinds of dental procedures - from full mouth reconstructions to teeth whitening - keeping patient's troubles, possible fears and phobias and all other concerns in mind.
